Last Remnant won't last?

With Square Enix CEO, Yoichi Wada, coming out with some percular words one can only think that The Last Remnant won't be releasing for the PlayStation 3 any time soon.

"If there's a gap in the release of multiple versions of a game, and if the first version didn't necessarily see such great success, they have to think that there won't be a change in performance on a new platform."
- Yoichi Wada

With not-so-good sales on the Xbox 360 SE boss doubts that being placed on the PS3 will not do any good.

Final Fantasy VII is a success on the PSN

Who is actually surprised that Final Fantasy VII, one of the best installments of the franchise, would reach unconditional success on the PlayStation Network. Totaling approximately 100,000 sales in its first two weeks.

I'm sure Sony, and Square Enix are deeply satisfied with bringing this fantastic title to the PSN. There is no doubt this number will grow much larger as time goes by.

Pat on the back to Sony, and SE.

Wiimote better than Natal?

With all the buzz going around Natal and what it can do the gaming world, the master game designer Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto doesn't feel so concerned.

"I don't think I could create an experience that truly feels interactive if you don't have something to hold in your hand, if you don't have something like force feedback that you can feel from the controller."

While we agree, we still don't think its right to rule Natal out just yet. Who knows what is in store.

Final Fantasy Will Be Equal

For those who keep on rambling that one version of Final Fantasy might be better than the other well...Square Enix is here to prove you wrong.

"The team is targeting to create an equal experience on both the 360 and the PS3, so there are no limitations," says Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase. "For example, right now we're working on the PS3 version first, and once we've completed that we'll really know how much game there will be to fit onto the Xbox 360 discs."

It's good see that SE is treating each platform fairly. But lets see if this "statement" is true.

Metroid Must Sell 1.5 - 2 Million Units?

In a recent interview with GameSpot and Reggie Fils-Aime, the President of Nintendo of America (NOA) they go on to talk about the new upcoming Metroid title releasing in 2010. Reggie states:

""Metroid is a key franchise, and in our view really since the Snes Metroid, we havent broken through in terms of 1.5 - 2 millions units. Thats our bar. Thats the scale that we look at to say on a global basis this is effective.”

With the the latest Metroid Prime installment on the Wii just selling short of 1.5 million there's no doubt that Metroid: Other M will be able to please Nintendo's expectations. With a strong Metroid fan base, and with Nintendo's ability to draw people to new games, this can become a truly successful blockbuster hit of 2010.
